MEC-Based Cooperative Multimedia Caching Mechanism for the Internet of Vehicles

Multimedia applications are expected to widely deploy over vehicular networks. In order meet the low-latency and high-speed transmission requirements of multimedia applications, edge caching is introduced reduce network traffic delay. Due limited storage cache server, an efficient approach for content management plays a decisive role performance. This paper proposes vehicle-to-infrastructure-based cooperative mechanism Internet Vehicles improve utilization. The system model established with goal maximizing hit rate. To jointly consider collaborations between macrobase stations (MBS) multiple roadside units (RSU), we propose reinforcement learning algorithm adaptively control management. According popularity status, proposed can dynamically adjust cached across relevant MBSs RSUs. simulation results show that significantly utilization quality services.
